Sunday Talk: “My Sacrament Meeting Talk”

SO last week after sacrament meeting, on of the councilors in our bishopric asked me if I would be willing to speak about  my conversion in the next sacrament meeting. OF COURSE! i said, seeing as in less than 3 weeks I will be moving out of the ward. I wanted to share with you the talk I gave, and if you have any questions or comments about what I’ve written, please let me know!

Hello my most beloved brothers and sisters. I am so thrilled to be up here today speaking with you. I was asked to prepare a talk about my recent conversion to the church, and honestly I couldn’t think of a better thing to talk about today.

So, let’s start at the beginning. I feel as though i have been quietly converting since i was a little girl, as though every step and stumble I’ve taken in my life has been to bring me right here to you. however, If i had to pinpoint the moment I knew I needed to join this church, it was the moment i said my vows on my wedding day. Wendell and I were married, oh, a little over three months ago in my childhood church.
