Testimony: I had been teaching Homemaking Lessons my whole life but when I moved to New York in 2002 I left all of my teaching materials packed in a storage bay in Utah. I was called to be a homemaking leader again but this time I had to start writing my lessons. I was shocked how difficult it was to teach this subject without all of the tools available in Utah and I was inspired to build a website to post my lessons on so that I could help other homemaking teachers.
I had been working on this goal for a couple of years when I went thru a divorce from my husband. I began seeking guidance and was searching for my path. I pulled out my Patriarchal Blessing and that’s when I finally understood what a section of my blessing meant…. It says I will have the ability and the power to expand and enlarge my talents, that I might be an instrument in the hands of our Heavenly Father in declaring his word throughout the world. That I might be able to convincingly bear testimony of the divinity of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and be a means of promoting and enlarging his work here in the world. I knew that day why I was prompted to build a website.
This journey hasn’t been easy and has been very expensive for a single woman trying to survive. My blessing says I will be blessed to enjoy the comforts and necessities of life, that I will be able to spend my strength and energy in promoting the work of our Heavenly Father here in this earthly life. I know without a shadow of a doubt, the blessings I have received because I prayerfully follow my path. I’ve had to learn techniques, many times overnight, that usually takes someone years to learn at college. I survived unemployment and was blessed with the necessities of life so that I wouldn’t be a burden on anyone, and I’ve met people along the way who have been placed on my path to help me.
