FAQ

  1. Do I have to be Mormon to be highlighted? Well my question to you is… would you like to become a Mormon? You can learn more about “Mormons” here. I don’t know why anyone would want their blog highlighted here if they’re not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but I’m willing to highlight your blog, even if you’re not Mormon, if you follow our blog standards (see next FAQ below).
  2. What are the blog standards? Bloggers that write about “anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy.” [Articles of Faith #13]. Blogs should be at least 3 months old, have at least 12 posts and you intend to keep blogging throughout the years. The blog should follows all the standards in the “For Strength of Youth”. Lastly, the blog should promotes teachings of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
  3. Does my blog have to be hosted on WordPress to get highlighted? For now, yes. My purpose is to link up all the virtuous blogs of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who blog on WordPress.com or WordPress.org. There are plenty of other “Mormon blog directories” for people who blog on Blogger that you can find through searching on Google. However, you are welcome to follow this WordPress LDS Ward blog and participate in “Link-up Parties” but I am not highlighting Blogger blogs at this time.

  7. What is “Blog Teaching?” It’s a mimic of Home Teaching and Visiting Teaching where every month a WordPress Ward blog is assigned to “teach” another WordPress Ward blog for “Blog Teaching!” This is another way to better improve search engine optimization  for Pro-Mormon blogs online and establish an online Mormon blogger who blogs on WordPress.com or WordPress.org.
  8. How do I fulfill my “Blog Teaching” assignments? In order to fulfill your “Blog Teaching” assignment: 1) Click on your assignment blog 2) Read and like a couple of their posts 3) Comment and say something nice on their blog 4) Return and report to the current month’s “Blog Teaching” post.
